PRODUCTION
Making our vision become reality
Based on the final concepts and story development, we start the production phase of the project. That includes animation tests, blocking passes, final animations and editing.
RIGGING AND MODELLING
Translating Ideas to 3D

Modelling was done using a combination of Maya and Z-Brush.
Caveman was sculpted in Z-Brush and rigged in Maya

RUN ANIMATION TEST
TESTING THE RIG
BEFORE ANIMATING THE SCENES, THE TEAM TESTED SOME BASIC ACTIONS FLAME HAD TO PERFORM TO MAKE SURE HE WAS CAPABLE OF EXECUTING IT.

JUMP ANIMATION TEST

VIDEO REFERENCES
BEFORE ANIMATING OUR SCENES, WE RECORDED OURSELVES ACTING OUT SO THAT WE COULD HAVE A BETTER IDEA OF TIMING AND MOTION.

BLOCKING AND ANIMATING SHOTS
Our process of animating shots start by planning the animation. To do so, we shot movie references acting out the scenes, and then blocked them using stepped mode in Maya. Once the animation was approved, we splined, smoothed it and cleaned it up so that it could move on to post-production.
